Powell River Minor Lacrosse Needs You!

Powell River Minor Lacrosse is looking for volunteers to help run our association. Over the next year or two, most of our Executive Committee members will be stepping down as our children will be too old to play. In order to ensure that lacrosse continues in Powell River, we are currently recruiting new members.

Why volunteer?

  • Spend time with your kids
  • Contribute to your community
  • Sense of satisfaction
  • Learn new skills
  • Meet new people
  • More volunteers equals less work!

How much time do you need to commit?

  • Executive committee members usually meet monthly from September through December. Beginning in January and until the season begins in April, members meet twice per month. Meetings are only scheduled as necessary during lacrosse season & summer months. Some jobs require more of a time commitment than others, but keep in mind that the lacrosse season is short and training will be provided to ensure that the transition goes smoothly.

Current list of job positions on the executive:

  • President

  • Vice President

  • Head Referee

  • Head Coach

  • Floor Scheduler

  • Registrar

  • Advertising/Marketing

  • Treasurer

  • Equipment Manager

Still not sure?

A Director at Large is a great starting point. This position gives you flexibility to learn the ropes without committing to a larger role immediately. If you think you can help in any way, please phone Mark or Judy Scott at 604-485-7729.
